What Inspires me
My paintings are almost always done from imagination. I am always happy to discuss the origins of my paintings. I have many influences - my location (see the page My Studio), what I have been reading, what I have been watching, and where I have travelled. Last fall I visited Greece and Italy. With a base in
Pisa
(thanks Linda!), I visited Tuscan villages and cities,
travelled to Athens
and
Santorini
and spent some
time in Rome.
The Studio Tour is an opportunity to display a collection of works of different sizes, subjects and media. Since I am not working to a particular theme, these works are created in an atmosphere of spontaneity and freedom. For me this is a major exhibition, since not only are my paintings on display, but my house and studio as well.
On this page I will post the most recent works that I
am preparing, most will be for the Tour.
